When Dr Seuss was undergoing his training to become a professor, he felt weary. So Dr Seuss decided to go on a tour to England. In England he met Helen Palmer. Both had similar taste and objective. They married and Helen Palmer became a well-known book editor and children’s author. After sometime he decided to return home. He started his career as a cartoonist. His cartoons were published in The Sunday Evening Post and several other magazines. But his thoughts always revolved around creating advertisements for the Standard Oil. His cartoons were published in the PM magazine during the Second World War. In the mean time he produced the training movies for the US army. Later he produced sequence of animated training movies. His career graph had a turn when he was offered by a magazine to illustrate children saying for the magazine. Though it is not a grand success, it changed his career once for all. From there on, he went on writing numerous rhymes for children. Eleven children’s television programs were created by his contribution. He also made a Broadway Musical. dr seuss was honoured with two Academy awards along two Emmy awards. He was also awarded Pulitzer Prize. His name will last forever.
